Adding Nero Showtime as an option to open DVDs?

When I insert a DVD movie in my DVD drive, the box comes up asking if I
would like to open this DVD with Windows Media, CyberLink PowexerDVD, Real
Player or Take No Action. I would like to add Nero's Showtime so that DVDs
are ALWAYS opened with Nero's Showtime, but that is not given to me as an
option. I tried to change my Registry following instructions to "Add a CD
Burner", but just making the changes appropriate to a DVD player, but I got
way confused and decided that instead of screwing up my Registry, I should
ask the Expert!
Thanks ...

Have you got tweak UI.

if you do there is a setting for adding a handler (under: My computer/
Autoplay/ Handlers).
You can then add Nero Showtime there for playing DVD's.

Thanks Nik ... after a little trial and error, it worked GREAT!

Try this:

Highlight "DVD general", select your DVD drive letter, "play
automatically upon insertion", and the last option there is up to your
liking.

See if this works for you next time you insert a DVD movie in your DVD
player.
