W2K SP4

When I try to add any program to the Quick Launch toolbar, it reboots the
computer. If I add a shortcut to the desktop, there is no problem. Even
trying to add the desktop shortcut to the quick launch causes the same reboot.

Has anyone had this experience? Is there a known bug or fix for it? I've
never seen this before. Is there another way to add items to the quicklaunch
toolbar. All that I have there now is: IE, Outlook and Desktop.

Thanks. Diana

Hey. Im having the same problem. I have a usb drive, every time i stick
it in, 2000 reboots. I also have sp4. Is there anyway this can be fixed?

Well you can always try to add the shortcut manually and no I've never heard of or seen this.

In Windows Explorer select C:\Documents and Settings\%PROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Then right-click in an open area on the right choose New | Shortcut | browser to the executable you want the Quick Launch to | Name it | OK.

That should put an entry in Quick Launch for you without a reboot.
