adding html

I'm having trouble adding html in a site that has an included page at the
beginning of the page - I've tried inserting it under the webcomponents -
but it doesn't go in the 'head' .. I've got 3 parts to copy and paste -
under head/ and 2 under body - it's the head part that I can't get in - if I
copy and paste it directly into html view - it gets all messed up

can anyone tell me how to work around this?
