adding global text to a new field

I'd like to add a field to my Outlook contact list titled "E-news" with
either a "yes" or "no" option only in that field. I know how to add a new
field, but is their a function where I can automatically have the new field
in every record show "yes" then i can go back and manually change it to "no"
when appropriate? Thanks!
