Adding "company" column to contacts by category report

"Company" doesn't appear on the check list for columns to add to this report.
How can I add this column to the report?

I lodged the same question to tech support. There are a number of fields that
appear in the in the add and remove list that do not actually appear in the
columns or on reports.
