Adding comments in Word 2003

Thanks for your reply Shauna.
I have tried entering a comment but I cannot move the
comment and the comment appears in the document always -
ie: you don't just hover over the word but when you open
the document - the comment's there.
How do I just add a comment so it appears only when you
hover over the word attached to the comment?
