adding audio sound over music

I am making a video using still pictures and an mp3 for background music. Is it possible to add a wav sound or narration that will play over the background mp3 music? Thanks

I can add a wav but only before or after the mp3 music. I would like it to play over the mp3 background.

Joy,

You have 2 basic choices... if you have one long WAV file and one MP3 file,
you can overlap them by pulling the one on the right over the one on the
left on the timeline, and achieve almost total overlap which might be good
enough.

If overlapping isn't sufficient, save the movie with one of them, and then
do another pass to add the other. Use DV-AVI when saving between passes to
maintain the quality.

Thanks PapaJohn. I was hoping for an easier way but I guess that is not possible in MM2. I have a few short wav sounds that I wanted to just play over the mp3.
