Adding another selection to a drop down list

I simply want to add another selection to an existing drop down list and will
have several more in the future. I cannot find a way to do this no matter
what I do and believe me I have tried help in a lot of ways. I know it is
probably extremely simply but I have not found a simple way to be taught.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

How is your current list setup? Is the data validation list somewhere else in
the workbook, or is it typed individually into the data validation box?
