Ok the app did the job and the wav file is not any larger than the mp3
file.. 4.45kb
So next question to make sure I am doing the embedding right.
In PP, click insert then object. insert object from list -wave sound,
recorder pops up and insert the wav file in that and click record. When
that
is done set the sound file to play from first slide to last slide.
Click
save
then file save as, chose pps, name it and chose directory?

You could try using the technique outlined here to embed the mp3 -
basically
it fools PowerPoint into thinking the file is a wav.

You could try reducing the wav file size by reducing the sound quality
of
the file using a free sound editing programme such as audacity (if
someone
is just playing the file through their built in speakers they probably
won't
notice).
If neither of those will work for you let us know more about the
project
and
we may be able to suggest a different approach.

I have tried everything suggested to me including the settings you
just
mentioned. One article suggested pack and go BUT that gives you two
files
so
the audio is not embedded into the slide show and using a wav file
makes
to
slide show too big to email. The MP3 converted to wav ends up being
4.9mband
the presentation is 2.0mb.
This is crazy what can't Gates develop software that actually works
properly?
I am still having no luck!!! :-(

Try this:
1. In PowerPoint go to Tools -> Options -> General
2. Change the 'Link sounds with file size greater than' box to
50000
3. Delete the .wav file from your presentation
4. Re-insert the .wav file into your presentation
5. Your .wav file will now be embedded and you can email your
presentation
Please note this will only work for .wav files. Also, the .wav file
must
be
less than 50,000kb - you probably want it to be a lot less than
that
as
no-one is going to thank you for sending them a file that large,
let
alone
larger
If that doesn't work, let us know *exactly* the steps you have
tried.

Well I have been there many times with the same results, nothing!
What
am
I
suppose to be looking for there is NO mention of PP 2002 that I
can
see
anywhere.
I have also changed the file size like someone suggested before I
came
here
for help and 2002 and 2003 are not the same according to that
site!

I use XP office and am creating my first slide show
and I
am
having trouble
adding the .wav file so it will stay in the
presentation
when it is
emailed.
I have use office help and I am not having any
success.
The
slide show
works
fine on my PC but when I email it out there is no
sound
on
the recipients
computer when they open the .pps file I send.
So what could I be doing wrong here?
Please help this is important to be achieved!
