Adding a song to my video

I made a video, did everything well. My clips turned out good. I chose a song
to go with it and entered it in the audio/music section. It plays when I
preview the vid/song. But when I save the vid, the music does not save with
it. I get a silent video. When I try to go by way of 'make an automovie' it
tests the audio and says that my music clip is to low and gives me the little
red X. Im frustrated because my intent was to add the clips to that song.
Anyone that can either guide me to do this right, or take on this task for
me, please let me know. Thanks, Jeff

Sometimes I make the song a narration by playing the song on windows media
player and holding my computer microphone up to the speakers as it records as
a narration. Not the most ideal solution, but thats what I sometimes have to
do.
