I have run out of disk space on my Win XP Home system and have purchased a new drive. From the newsgroup it sounds like cloning my original drive or finding a way to NOT reinstall everything from a fresh OS install my not exist. Any recommendations on the best approach to migrate OS and Apps from my current Win XP Home drive to a new drive? Thanks.

Why dont you have two hard drives. you can run and install programs on the second one and clear up the old one
Then you will have more space and a good backup and if you ever need to reinstall xp just swap the hdd's cable and reinstall xp on the new one

Just a thought

Cloning your existing drive to the new drive is your best bet. If you
bought the drive retail, it may have come with a utility Cd that will do
this. Otherwise Ghost or Drive Image will work. Once cloned, switch the
drive positions and use the second drive for storage.
