ADD UP COLUMN WITH SAME DATE

I have a list of jobs that are going to be completed on various days of the
month. I would like to know what the total is each day and then link them to
a seperate summary sheet
Is there some way other than physically adding them on the spreadsheet and
then linking the results as jobs might move during the month

Hi Stuart

Your best bet sounds like a Pivot Table.
Assuming you have headers to each of your columns, place your cursor inside
your data.
With XL2003 Data>List>Create
Data>Pivot Table>Finish
Drag Date to the row area
Drag Jobs to the row area
Drag Jobs again, to the Data area as Count of jobs.

After you have added more data to your List, when you return to the PT right
click>Refresh and your report will be updated.
