add/remove progs list is incomplete after upgrade from Win2k

After upgrading from Win2K to WinXP Pro, I notice that only about half the
programs installed are shown in the add/remove programs applet. I need to
uninstall some programs including Norton Antivirus which is incompatible
with this flavour of Windows. How can I restore the list of progs in order
to uninstall?

There's a couple options. Are these programs in question located in 'All
Programs'? If so sometimes there's an uninstall option there. If not
re-install but make sure they're installed to the same directory. Then
you'll be able to uninstall.

I just used a 3rd party add/remove prog to get rid of some junk and now when
I check , the list is complete *except* for Norton Antivirus which is the
one I Really need to clear out.
Any ideas?

You can't re-install it and then uninstall it? You may also get the option
when installing via CD or the software, if it 'sees' it's already installed
you'll get an option to uninstall or repair.
