Add/Remove programs, removed?

Hi,
I recently defragmented the hard-drive of my PC, and have since not been
able to access the Add/Remove programs function (a pain as iTunes has
corrupted and I'm unable to remove it...).

Anyone have any suggestions?

Exactly what happens when you try to access Add/Remove?
Any error messages?

Have you verified that the applet is there?
C:\WINDOWS\system32\appwiz.cpl
If so, does it work when you double-click it?

No there is no error message, nothing happens when I click on it.

When clicking on appwiz.cpl nothing happens at all.
There are no error messages when trying to do it either way, the light on
the front flashes red for a second and the nothing.

Try replacing appwiz.cpl with a new copy from your WinXP CD.

Expanded.
Start - Run and enter CMD.EXE
Enter EXPAND /? for the command line options.
