Add/Remove Pro. Question

In Add/Remove Programs I have notice that some programs take up disk space
and some do not, why is this?
Example: McAfee Personal Firewall Plus uses 6.6mb but virusScan and security
center use no disk space.
Also noted: it seems drivers use no space, why?
 
All files including drivers take up space. Why they are not reported in
Add/Remove Programs I cannot answer.
 
Size is the answer I believe.
