Add or remove program question

Under control panel / add or remove programs I get a list of programs and
then nothing but long & wide, black & white vertical lines. Have to scroll
quite a ways down before the rest of the programs are listed.
Can someone tell me what might be causing these wide lines & how do I get
rid of them?

Hi kelly I have the same problem as Stan what is it that I either remove or
chang in registry editor I do not have autocad so what do I do next
