Add new pages and link bar to DWT

Hi,
New to all this. I created a DWT with link bars to articles already created
and ready to load as my first website.

Problem: I will be creating lots more articles to post into this site and i
would like to know is there an easy way to create these new articles and a
new link bar into the DWT?

Can i set up a template of some type that will allow me to create my new
article page AND the new link Button on the DWT page - and upload everything>
and will all the previous articles now show the new link bar addition?

Sorry, maybe not making much sense but i want to know if i create a new link
bar in the DWT and then upload the new article will the updated DWT show up
on all the other article pages previously posted to my site. If not, can
someone tell me what i have to do to make this possible?

Someone told me creating a DWT was the easiest way to ensure i could
continually add pages and have my template updated at the same time. But i
can't seem to figure out how to do this easily

Thanks
Susan

You would have to update the DWT locally on a disk-based web, then publish your site using the
Change Page Only option

Use includes for the menu instead of link bars .. you get a LOT more
control...

you can see this at addonfp.com which uses includes for a menu and a dwt...

You don't change the dwt you change the include ... you just make that
section of the dwt an include in the template so there is include code on
every page. .. Then you just make the includes ... for the different menus
you need depending on what category your in. ... then you just update the
include when adding a new page .. and that updates the section your working
on.
