add new drive and Pro; old drive has OEM Home; how to do it?

HP Compaq Presario computer currently runs Home (came installed on the
computer; I do NOT have the disk.) I will be adding a new drive and want to
run Pro and transfer all apps, programs and data to the new drive. Old drive
will then be used only for backups. I do NOT have a 2nd computer available.
1. Do I need an upgrade version or a full version of Pro? 2. Can I make this
transfer and if so, how using only the one computer?
 
You would have to add the new drive as a slave, then use the utility
supplied with new hd, or available from hd manu web site, to clone old hd to
new. There will be instructions on web site.
I could be wrong but if its an OEM version I believe you need a full retail
version.
