Well, *I* insist you have all the aplomb and graciousness of a warthog
in heat. I mean, really Kenny, didjyer mama teach you to piss on your
host's lawn or did that just occur to you all by your itty-bitty?

You are an idiot sparky.
Posting here the reply of the developer of photofilter. As I said, it is not
possible to do directly what I wanted....

His reply:
you can fill before insert the text using all selection shape

My email:

I want to be able to do what MS paint does,

(see attached imaga)

to add text and have the background of the inserted text whited out (box).

With photofilter all I can find is a way to give a shadow to the text.

Is there a way, or can you add this feature to a future release?

Thanks in advance

Kenny

We have the color of the drop shadow, and the outline... there is no text
background.

You're right -- there is no way to change the background, so my
mistake.

Simple work-around in Photofiltre would be to open your photo, open a
blank page (with a white background), type your text there, and
copy-and-paste it to the photo.

Hey there,

Maybe this program would work:

Picture Shark v1.0
Homepage: http://www.watermark.studigotchi.com/index.htm
Download: http://www.picture-shark.com/setup.exe

<quotes from the page>
Picture-shark is the first choice for people who want to "stamp"
visible logos or text on their image files.
<end quotes from the page>

This isn't quite what you're looking for, but I've written on plenty
of pictures with it, and I like how I can control where the writing
goes, and how opaque it is. I hope this helps. :)

Another useful text effects program is (err) Text Effects:

There are some other graphics programs on this site.
