Add a symbol to entries

I'd like to add a symbol such as " (for inch), GB (for GigaBytes) to
entries.

I tried Custom by using 0.0" but it gives errors. Strangely if I put
0.0' it actually works but not anything else.

You're using a custom number format?

If yes, you could use:
0.00\"
or
0.00\G\B
