I have a screensaver file (.scr) that I want to run on WinXP Pro.

I've copied it into the System32 folder, even renamed it with SS in the
start of the file name, as all other screensavers are named in XP.

It does not show up in the screen saver drop down list. Also tried right
clicking the file and clicking Install. Still no go.

Ideas?

Thanks

Many screen savers not included with XP have this problem, especially those
designed for Windows 9x and they simply won't work regardless of what you
do.

<sigh>

Yet another reason to move up to Win2K.

Thanks for your time Michael,
