add 50 pictures to powerpoint

M

Marcel

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to add around 50 pictures to a
powerpoint document without adding it for each side manually. One side
shall contain one picture. How can I do that a bit more automatically?

Thanks for your help

As with anything worth while in doing, there are a few ways to do this.

1) Using PowerPoint's native feature.
I would recommend using the Photo Album method. This is where you Insert =>
Picture => New Photo Album. You will need to navigate the resulting menus,
but there is nothing difficult about these. When you are done, you will
have a new slide presentation filled with the pictures you wanted.

2) Using Add-ins
There is an excellent add-in available called Image Importing Wizard. This
both simplifies and expands the options available when inserting groups of
photos into a presentation. It is not free, but well worth the price, if
you are doing this type of presentation more than once.

That is a good help. Is it possible to delete the black frame around the
pictures which is automatically generated?

Hi Marcel

You can set the line colour by creating your own template:
1. Open a blank presentation and add an autoshape (e.g. a rectangle)
2. Set the line colour to 'no line'
3. Right click the autoshape and select 'set as default autoshape'
4. File -> save as -> select .pot in the drop down list and give it a name
(e.g. photoalbum) -> save in default location
5. Close the template but leave powerpoint open
6. Insert -> picture -> new photo album
7. Select your pictures
8. Select '1 picture' from the picture layout drop down then click 'browse'
by 'design template'
9. Find & select your newly saved template
10. Click 'create'

It works in 2003 so I hope it will in 2002.
