Adaptec 3121 incorectly recognized as NEC

how do i get xp to recognized this card and install the proper drivers for
the card? have already download the latest ones from 12/2002 but xp says not
and stays with the nec drivers dated 6/2002 please someone tell me how to
force xp home to install the adaptec drivers!

Is this device the DuoConnect USB/Firewire Combo Card?
