hotfix's, went they are installed on my computer they are
also put on my ad/remove program in my control panel. So
my control panel is very large. I would like to remove
them from my control panel but not from my computer.
Can someone help me????
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Jim,

Set folder options/view tab to show hidden and system files.

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows, delete the $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ folders
that represent each download. These folders are only there for uninstalling
a hotfix, they are not necessary to retain.

Go to the Control Panel/Add & Remove. Select one of the hotfixes for which
you just deleted the uninstall folder, click 'remove'. You will get an error
message, followed by an option to remove that listing.

I'm sorry, Paul, but I don't remember any request from you, specifically.
If you still have the original reply, forward it to me. But I usually do
not give authorization to just post the files without some type of
accompanying write up to explain what they're for. Otherwise, users get
confused and download the wrong things, or expect the fixes to do something
they're not designed to do. Then I get the e-mails asking for help on it.
