Ad-aware Update 01R242 [26.12.2003]

Doug

Sorry to have posted this way but it is the only way. I'm running XP Pro
and IE6, all updated and current patched in place. All of a sudden for
no reason I cannot post a new message. I can reply to any message in any
forum. Forget trying to post a new topic? All virus software up to date
full system scan no gremlins. All spybot software current, no bots on
the system. Ran SfC /scannow, all system files in place, current and
uncorrupted. Reinstalled OE - no help. Everything is fine except for my
inability to post a new message. I have purged all temp files and
folders. I am stumped, any help or clue? Thanks
Doug

Hi Joan,
Maybe Lavasoft have something up their sleeve ;)
The new build is imminent, but when? They're tight-lipped
on the subject...

Do you get any error message when you try to post?

Often the cure is easy to find if we could get some indication where to
start.

No, the Template starts to load as if you were gonna post, then OE
simply
shuts down. No error, messages or sounds. I restart it as usual
everything
seems fine. That is until I try to post again and around I go again. I
can't
find anything that speaks of this issue. I would have offered a cause or
symptom but there weren't any.
Cheers Doug

Is it set to use Word as editor?
(and, if not, what happens if you make that change?)
--grasping for straws, I'm afraid.

Please clarify what programme you are using to post... IE? OE? Something
else?

Is MS Outlook or Office also installed? What version? Is Outlook your
default Mail Client? Do you open a separate instance of OE to access news
or do you open the "Outlook Newsreader" via OL View>Go to>News?
