Ad-Aware Programs

Contemplating purchasing one of Lavasoft's Ad-Aware
complete programs but unsure which one. Now using free
version. Any recommendations of pros/cons of various paid
Ad-Aware programs would be appreciated.

Tell me, what's this usenetgroup called?
Is your question on topic here?
Do you get my drift?

OMG - what a horrendous, horrific error I've made
by posting to a FREEBIE software newsgroup.

You can untie your knotted shorts if haven't choked
yourself. God forbid one should ask about alternatives
to a widely used "freebie" software program.

I've seen many replies/links to shareware and paid
software to several posts from others looking for
"freebie" programs. Get MY drift?

Reply and links very much appreciated and informative. Tx!

Yo, my Stuff:
My feeling is that you're in the right place. I think that your critic
is a bit like an over-zealous watchdog. Although a bit too hasty to bite
the intruder, he wants to maintain the limits that we need on this
board. It's too easy for this place to get polluted with adware,
scamware, trialware, crippleware, etc., etc.

But we've got to extend some return hospitality, no? After all, Lavasoft
has given us a pretty decent free tool at their own expense; they
maintain it at their expense, too: they're entitled to some exploration
on our end. Let's face it: creating, and especially de-bugging, a piece
of software takes a lot of time and diligent effort. Let's all make some
allowance to give back to these people when it's warranted.

Agreed?

I suggest that next time, you simply prefix your post with "OT."
Hopefully, that would get you a good answer, a meaningful discussion for
the rest of us, and a win-win.

How's that?

Richard
