Ad-Aware 2007 will not run in safe mode?

Ad-Ware 2007 will not run in safe mode. I get the following error.

Exception EAccessViolation in module Ad-Aware.exe at 001DD084.
Access violation at address 005DD084 in module 'Ad-Aware 2007.exe'
Read address 00000414

I have Norton Internet Security 2008, Spysweeper, Spybot, Windows Defender
and Ad-aware 2007. All can run in safe mode, but Ad-Aware. All scans come
back clean. Ad-aware is able to update and scan when running normally. Is
this a bug with Ad-aware 2007?

The PC is running XP w/ SP 2
Pentium 4 CPU 2.53GHz, 512 RAM

Perhaps you should try their forums rather than the MS forums.

Someone has already posted an issue with this:

So I guess the Ad-Ware 2007 forum is your best place to post a question.

Thanks for the suggestion... That post was from a member of my family, but
we have not recieved a response yet, so we were trying a couple of key
newsgroups in hopes that someone would have thoughts or input.

I believe the problem is that Adaware 2007 now requires an actively running
service named 'aawservice.exe' and hence cannot be run in 'safe' mode.
