AD and Printers

I have installed printers in Active Directroy and the
show up no problem, but out of the blue the will
disappear and after the spooler is restarted the will
show back up. Any ideas? We have a very large AD
enterprise, have run all the laset updates and there are
no events in the event logs.

where exactly do they disappear,network or ad, and does
printing work when they disappear,
