The safest settings are to disable everything in Security and log into
Windows XP as a user that has very few permissions. You want to log into
Windows XP as a user in theUsers group. That is the safest but also makes
using the Internet pretty bland. But better bland than infected.

Two things you can leave enabled in Security. The File download and Submit
nonencrypted form data. That will pretty much make most of what is
available on the Net sufficient. But don't forget that debilitaed user in
the User Group when surfing. That is the thing that keeps ActiveX from d/l
into your machine. You can also enable cookies if you want since there is
really no harm in them and most sites require it.
