ActiveX issue

I am troubleshooting a problem on a computer running XP Pro SP2 from another
person and when I use IE 6 to visit certain sites, I get a message in the
info bar that says my current security settings prevent activex from running
on that computer.

I have gone through the Internet Options, Security settings completely with
no luck. I have researched articles such as #182569 and still no joy. It
seems to me that ActiveX has been disabled on the computer for the internet
but I cannot find where.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Which level is each IE Security Zone set to (Default ) ? - Otherwise I'd
look to 3rd-Party security software that may include it's own ActiveX
blocking facility. What AV/Firewall software is being used >?

no third party stuff on the system as far as I can tell. I have tried even
"dangerous", if you will, configurations of the IE Security Zones and
enabled most all settings in each zone.

AV is Symantec AV 10 and standard SP2 XP firewall.

Perhaps something in the Content Advisor, or the Advanced tab?

Do you have Adaware or Spybot? I believe at least one of them has
policies that could prevent ActiveX from running..
