ActiveX problems

W

Walter

Can't download any Windows XP updates or virus scanning
software or anything else that is interactive with a web
page. Continually get "your security settings prohibit
running ActiveX controls etc." My security is set to all
the default settings which is medium, both activex and
scripting are enabled but I just can't do anything and I
can't even get help because everything I try (except this
so far) kicks out with a page cannot be displayed error.
Along the line, I saw that maybe I have to delete the
ActiveX settings and then reinstall but I don't know how
to.

This is sooooo frustrating, any help is appreciated.
