ActiveX controls and permissions

Somehow I have changed something so that I am asked permission for every iteration of IE if I want to allow ActiveX controls, scripting, etc. How do I get out of this???? Help! It's driving me crazy everytime I start browsing. This is mostly an IE issue I suppose. I am running XP Home, all the latest, etc.etc.
 
In IE go to Internet Options
Select Security
Web content zone - Internet
Then select Custom Level
Make your adjustment there or select Medium and reset.
