ActiveSync creates 100 duplicateswhen syncing OLwith 2 computers

I have given up trying to sync my Pocket PC with Outlook 2003 on my Desktop
PC and my laptop. Each time it overwrites a zillion duplicate contacts,
calendar entries etc. The "remove duplicates" option just doesn't work and
third party duplicate removal software is either no better or too expensive
to risk trying. Surely ActiveSync could be improved in this regard when so
many of us need data aavailable on both laptop and desktop. Version 3.8 is no
better in this regard.

Hi - I suggest you post in microsoft.public.pocketpc as this isn't an
Outlook issue.
Personally, I have never thought that syncing any handheld with more than
one computer was a good idea - too easy for stuff like this to happen.

ActiveSync is designed with just this in mind and it works very well for
keeping my work and home Outlooks in sync.

Glad to hear it - I've just heard too many horror stories and am nervous.
