activesync and outlook

I am using my handheld with syncing with outlook at work
and at home. All works fine at work. When I connect at
home, it attempts to resolve all the attendees associated
with all of the appointments in my calendar. It fails
and when I start the resolve process, I get a message
that says it does not recognize a name (e.g.,
Smith,John). When I select the show more names dialog,
it does three strange things:

1) It is showing the names from which to select
as "<first name> <last name>" and seems to think mayvbe
that Smith is the start of the first name.
2) John Smith does not show up on the list of names
*even though* it is in the contacts list so I cannot
select it even taking into account the differing orders.
3) Nevertheless, when I try to add John Smith as a new
contact, it recognizes that it is already in the contact
list and asks whether I want to merge them or not.

Any suggestions on how to fix? I am plenty happy to have
it not resolve the names it all except then it leaves
those appointments out of the calendar all together.

Thanks

Might want to post in microsoft.public.pocketpc and/or
.....pocketpc.activesync.

Personally, I advise people not to try syncing a handheld to two different
Outlook profiles/installations. I have never seen this go well - usually
results in some lost data.

You should come to my house, then, because I sync my handheld with two PC
and two different profiles (one on each PC) all the time with never a
problem.

Ah, but haven't you ever gotten frantic calls from users who've lost all
their data or overwritten it? I have.

Only a fortunate few have PDAs here.
