Activesync and Outlook shared folders....

D

Dave Satchell

I have a customer that has shared his calendar and
contacts in Outlook 2003 on the companies SBS2k3 exchange
server.

His assistant needs that info loaded on her iPaq PDA. I
know that you can't do this with subfolders or public
folders. BUT SHARED folders are neither subfolders or
public folders so what are they and WHERE are they?

This whole issue with being limited to what can be
sync'ed on a PDA through ActiveSync is getting ridiculous.

I found an application called Beyond Contacts from
www.dataviz.com that will let you sync any item in your
post office box for a Palm device but if I can't even
find where a shared folder is located on the assistants
Outlook then even this won't help.

So, what are my options, what has everyone else done, and
when is Microsoft going to get this fixed the right way?

Thanx, Dave.

Since this is the first request I have seen for someone to be able to synch
shared folders, I doubt that this is a high priority item for the Microsoft
Developers.

Besides, try posting in microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync to see if
someone already has a solution out there or if they can point you to a
method to do what you want.
