ActiveSync 3.8 setup hangs

G'Day All,

I am trying to install ActiveSync:
Downloads ok,
Extracts ok,
is_setup runs (negligible CPU)
(MSASYNC[1].exe _sometimes_ runs)
hangs......

Any offers?
 
G'Day (again) All,

Since posting, I have successfully installed in Safe Mode (with Networking).

I would still welcome any insight as to why - this stalls the normal installation
of IPAQ software.
