Active X Controls Not Installed

I am trying to access a secure website through my
employer using my home computer running Windows XP/IE6.
The application is giving me an error message, ACTIVEX
Controls not installed. My company's help desk, now in
Bangalore, is totally useless in helping me. We have
reset the security settings about 1M times. Any ideas?

Have you checked the options of any security software, firewalls, antivirus,
etc. that might be the cause of the issue. Try disabling such software, one
at a time so it doesn't load when you boot the system, then reboot and try
to access to see if you can find the source of the issue.
