Hello, i like to know the advantages of having only one active
directory in an enterprise.

The easiest explanation is simplicity. One domain means only one set of
rules for each user. Enterprises are now trying to merge multiple domains
into a single domain structure for just such a reason. Some times this is
not possible, depends on the needs.

multiple AD forests, google for multiple forest considerations

basically if you can use ONE AD forest with ONE AD domain
