Active Directory Rebuild

Greetings,

Active Directory domain with 6 domain controllers spanning
across several sites.

I need to rebuild active directory completely from
scratch, I want to export all the groups/users/computers
out. Demote the domain controllers and start over from
scratch. To make it a bit tricky there is are two exchange
servers.

Is this possible and what implications would I need to
consider?

Backup Backup Backup
You can use this article to export and import the users into the new domain
however doing so will cause the loss of the user profiles. Then you would
reinstall exchange and restore the Store and then associate each user
account with each mail box.
