How do I backup Active Directory?

I would like to do a backup, so, if the server were to bomb and I had to
re-install, I could run dcpromo and simply restore my backup and not have to
type everyone's name in again. Is there a quick way of doing this?

You must backup the system state. This can be accomplished by using the
built NTbackup utility or and 3rd party backup program that is Active
Directory aware. I would also not run my network on just one domain
controller no matter how big or small it is.
