Active Direcotory for Internet Authentication

Question:

Company ABC.com wants to implement Active directory
authentication for it's customers. ABC.COM is currently
comprised of one domain abc.com. It has 500 internal
employees and 15000 customers. Customers will need to be
able to authenticate to the extranet webservers with a
Active directory account.

A. Where do I find information on the type of
license I am going to need to authenticate extranet
users to the IIS web server.
B. Where can I find case studies of corporations
that currently implement this type of authenticaton?.
C. Where can I find case studies of the security
requirements of this implemention?.
