Active Desktop

I downloaded a file from the Microsoft web site that
turned on "Active Desktop" in my Windows XP home
edition.

Now my desktop graphics are messed up - is there a way to
turn it off without running a system restore?

Thanks

Hi,

Try to reinstall the video display adapter drivers and see what happens.
You do not need to do a system restore for that.
