I had a problem the required I reboot, and when I rebooted
the computer indicated my hardware had changed (it had
not) drasticly and I would need to Re-Activate in three
days. Rebooting took ~1hr, and I had no onternet
connection from that point.

I know have the system booting at a normal speed, but I
cannot log on until I Re-Activate, and I cannot Re-Active
until I can log on and fix the TCP/IP so I can connect to
the internet.

Any Ideas how I resolve this?

Start the activation process from the Safe Mode logon you can get: go
to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows

Take the option to activate by phone, call the toll free number given
and swap one long umber for another.

Loss of activation BTW may have resulted from loss of the relevant
windows\system32\wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files - it is a good idea to have a
backup of them on a floppy
