activation

When i purchased my computer it had windows XP Home Edition
preinstalled but the strange thing is that i didn't have to activate it
all i did was except the licence agreement and register and so on
etc,) but didn't have to register my product Why!

Because your vendor pre-activated it.

I don't understand.....You said "All I did was accept the license agreement
and register" and they you say you "didn't have to register."

Which one is true? Did you register or not?

Bet you have a big name brand computer who install a dedicated version of XP
for that computer only. Bet also you did not get disk for full installation
but a recovery disk only.
