activation

hi! I activated my windows XP and during my activation, i recieved a message
confirming it is already activated but when I restart my computer it is still
not activated. what are the possible problems and how am I going to activate
it properly.

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)

Try repairing the registry entries for the .DLL files used by
activation.

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
