activation failure

after installing service pack 2 i have a problem logging on. before the log
on it ask me to if i want to activate windows. it dose not matter what i
answer. if i answer yes it says that i have already completed product
activation and if i answer no it logges off. i have had no problems for the
last 3 years. dose anybody have a solution?
 
it is a custom built gaming pc from computer designers in Louisville KY. I
have re installed windows xp 2 times in the last 3 years just to learn and
one time 14 mo ago due to change of hard drive.

If you are able weather in Real Mode or Safe Mode look for these files
and report back with your findings.
