Activation asks but logs me out

I'm running XP pro SP2 on a wee network.

I recently upgraded the harddrive to a bigger one.

So now the OS is running on the new drive and I thought all was well.

But when I disconnected the old drive's power and rebooted so its now
using the new drive OS and then log in. It asks me if I want to
activate my OS (which is legal) or NOT.

Well I do so I click on YES.

It then promptly logs me out!

Any idea how I fix this?

The machine is networked and on the Internet. If I put the old drive
power back on then it works again. So its taking something off the old
drive even though its not the 1st drive in the BIOS.

Odd very odd...

Go to start/run, and type regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll OK, then, regsvr32.exe
licdll.dll
