activating

word wouldn't let me type so I tried to activate word by clicking I want to
activate the software over the net but then I try to do this it tells me "a
communicatioon erroe has occurred. your request cannot be processed at this
time, please try again in a few minutes" then it freezes, I get this
everytime I try to activat it, is this just my laptop or am I doing something
wrong?

Please repost your question in a Word newsgroup. The webpage can be
confusing; this is a group for the program Microsoft Access. If you
scroll down the list of subject areas you'll find several for Word;
you may want to post in the newsgroup for installation and
configuration.
