Activating *Wave-Out* Plug-in with Winamp 2.80

I'd like to be able to capture some mp3 streams to .wav format. Winamp has a
plug-in installed on my version, but I can't figure out how to make it work.
Any help appreciated.

I don't think I'd use Winamp for that. For one thing, it records the waves
by sending the output to a file rather than the soundcard which means you
can't hear what you are recording.

You'd be better off with something like Messer...
