Activate remote desktop on XP home edition

Hello, Wondering if it's possible to activcate remote desktop on a Win XP
home edition. I want to take control of that computer from remote places? If
so How can I?

Windows XP Home doesn't include Remote Desktop. There are alternatives,
however. Plenty of for-pay products, but one of the best is free - VNC

Yea - For remote desktop, you need one PC running XP Pro. You can connect
your current PC to one running XP Pro, but that's about it.

my dad is running XP Home and I run XP Pro. I need to remotely control his
desktop to occasionally provide "tech support". is that scenario possible?
if so, how can I make it happen?
